A care plan that keeps your site readable.

Still Fox, a Seattle practice, runs a care plan that hosts and checks small-business websites every week so AI assistants keep reaching them.

Three things have to work when someone asks an AI assistant who to call: the assistant reads your site, it describes you correctly, and someone answers when it sends a lead. The first two can fail with no edit to a single page: a CDN setting starts blocking a crawler, or an assistant starts giving the wrong hours. The care plan hosts the site, ships two edit requests a month and runs a weekly check on both, and a monthly note says what the checks found. The third is the business's own; the plan does not answer a lead on its behalf.

What is included

  • Hosting on Cloudflare Pages, in the client's own account, with uptime monitoring and updates to the build tooling, checked before each deploy.
  • Two edit requests a month, up to 30 minutes each, shipped within two business days of the request. Examples are a changed bio, new hours, a new FAQ or a photo swap.
  • A weekly check that the crawlers still get in (robots.txt per crawler, a fetch with each crawler's user agent, the CDN settings) and that the assistants still describe the business correctly, against the entity record.
  • A one-page note each month: uptime, edits shipped, crawler access, the month's reading (a fixed set of buyer questions on three official search APIs, each asked several times, with the pages the assistants cite) and every factual error found and fixed.
  • A fuller re-check page every third month: the full snapshot again, compared with the baseline, with intervals.

Not included: new pages, redesigns and new services, which are change orders at a flat fee; answering leads for the business; directory edits, review responses and posting, which we report and the business or agency does; and plugin updates and malware removal, because a static site has no plugins.

How it works

  1. Start. The plan begins when the rebuild launches. Hosting, uptime monitoring and the crawler settings are already in place.
  2. Check. Every week the check runs: a fetch with each crawler's user agent, and a comparison of what the assistants say with the entity record. Anything wrong is fixed and written down.
  3. Note. A one-page note goes to the agency or the business each month: uptime, edits shipped, crawler access, the month's reading, accuracy errors found and fixed, and one recommendation.
  4. Edit. Send a request whenever the business changes, up to two a month, and we ship each within two business days. For a law firm, the lawyer signs off on the changed page before it goes live.
  5. Re-check. Every third month the re-check page runs the full snapshot again, repeats the directory consistency pass and the accessibility check, and compares the result with the baseline, with intervals.

How it ends

Month to month, billed monthly in advance, with 30 days' notice either way. The site already runs in the client's own Cloudflare account and GitHub organization, so leaving moves nothing: the client already holds every login, we remove our seat, the agency keeps or removes its own, and the site keeps running.

The client owns the domain, the content and the repository, as with every Still Fox build. For a law firm, changed pages go back to the lawyer for sign-off before they go live.

How it is proven

Each monthly note reports a reading from a fixed set of buyer questions, each asked several times, on the official search APIs of OpenAI, Perplexity and Anthropic. That is enough to catch a wrong phone number and not enough to prove a trend.

So the note leads with what the checks verify directly, which is crawler access and the errors found and fixed, and it reports the share of answers as a reading with an interval. The re-check page every third month asks the same questions more times and compares the answers with the baseline. We do not measure the consumer apps for clients.

For agencies

The care plan is the recurring line under the agency's brand. Still Fox bills the agency monthly in advance, the agency bills the client at its own price, and the monthly note comes to the agency to pass on. We do not write to the client, and there is no dashboard or login for the agency to manage.

Fee

A flat monthly fee per site. Edit requests beyond the two a month, and new pages, are flat per-request fees. Measurement is part of the plan and never billed on its own.

Questions

Why pay monthly for a site that does not change?

The site is not the only thing that changes. A CDN setting can start blocking a crawler, and an assistant can start giving the wrong hours or phone number, with no edit to your pages. The weekly check reads for both.

Do you update plugins and remove malware?

Plugin updates and malware removal are not part of the plan, because a static site has no plugins. We do apply dependency and security updates to the build tooling in the repository, and we run the checks before each deploy.

Is there a dashboard?

No. The one-page monthly note is the report, and the re-check page every third month is the deeper one. We do not sell a dashboard because monitoring software already does, and software cannot fix a block or correct a page.

What happens if we cancel?

Give 30 days' notice, either way. The site already runs in your own Cloudflare account and GitHub organization, so nothing moves: we remove our seat and the site keeps running. The domain, the content and the repository were yours from day one.

Will the care plan show whether we are being recommended?

The monthly note shows what the assistants said across many answers: whether they name the business, which pages they cite and every factual error. That is enough to catch a wrong phone number and too few to prove a trend, so we report the share as a reading with an interval. The re-check page every third month asks more times and is the stronger reading.
