Still Fox, a Seattle practice, is preparing the Seattle Law Firm AI Readiness Index, which checks whether AI crawlers can reach law-firm websites.
What the index checks
The first edition covers the home pages of Seattle law-firm websites. For each site we check four things.
- Whether robots.txt lets each AI crawler in.
- Whether the firm's CDN or firewall turns away a request that carries a crawler's user agent, compared with a plain browser request.
- How much of the page's text exists without JavaScript.
- Whether the firm's name, address and phone appear on the page.
The method is one fixed set of automated requests per site. Read the method.

First edition in preparation. No results are published yet.
The first edition reports counts only. No firm is named, in text, in a table or by a code a reader could trace back, without that firm's written consent.
